Time Management

Being able to manage your time plays a big part in being successful when working on a project. Juggling different task and priorities at the same time will get the best of you if you don't prioritize. If you constantly put the small tasks off, they can and will pile up becoming larger and larger. Attack the small task first, this will help because it then gives you the time you need to focus on the more important or bigger tasks on your plate. This may seem like common sense, but when the pressure's on I know first hand that those smaller tasks just keep getting put off.

So... With time management being the theme today, I've noticed that the only time I can sit on focus on this personal project is usually late into the evenings during the week, I think the weekends will be mostly devoted to focusing on next steps.

What I Learned Today:

When you're looking to but items wholesale the distributor will ask you for your Reseller Certificate. A reseller certificate will let you buy items wholesale without paying sales tax. Most wholesalers will ask for your reseller certificate number before they will sale you there merchandise, because they are obligated to check if you will be able to collect sales tax.

When looking into wholesalers that I was interested in buying from, the vendors did request the reseller number in oder to begin.

How to get: Apply online with the California State Board of Equalization the process takes about 30 mins.

These are a few other things I found when looking to buy inventory from distributors:
  • Make sure you are buying from a reputable source.
  • Try to obtain merchandise on consignment, thus conserving your cash.
  • Look into companies that will drop ship on your behalf.
  • Make sure you are buying from a reputable source.

Now........ to find the time to do all this...lol
